How to Register, Claim a Site and Change a Country at Alexa.com

How to Register, Claim a Site and Change a Country at Alexa.com

The minute you register with Alexa.com you’re offered few different levels of membership. Ranging from $9.99/mo for basic membership all the way to Advanced High Traffic membership @ $799/mo

But what if for now, you only wanted to register and claim your site or simply change your site’s country flag?

  1. Register/Create an account go to :
    http://www.alexa.com/register?resource=%2Fsecure%2Flogin
  2. To claim your site, once logged in, go to :
    http://www.alexa.com/siteowners/claim

You’ll be asked to prove ownership by uploading content.
Once  site ownership is verified, the site will appear on your Dashboard, and you’ll be able to edit the site listing information.

  1. You can choose which country flag and rank will appear at the top of your Site Listing page. To change the country of your website (you need to claim it first) while logged in, go to: Dashboard, http://www.alexa.com/pro/dashboard

Then,  locate your site under My sites and open Site management dropdown.
Select: Edit Site Listing
Scroll all the way down to Alexa Traffic Rank in Country
Select your desired country form the dropdown and Save Changes

Note:  If no rank is available for the country you selected, it means that Alexa does not have enough data to display a regional rank for your domain. In that case,  “No data”, will be displayed.
